CIRCUMSTANCES OF DEATH

On 11/19/1920, Prohibition Agent Kirby Frans was seriously wounded by a moonshiner during a still raid in Perry, OK. Agent Frans was rushed to the local hospital, but died the following day from his wounds.

BACKGROUND

Agent Frans joined the Prohibition Unit on 1/22/1920.  He was one of the original prohibition agents or "dry agents" as they were sometimes called, responsible for enforcing the Volstead Act, which became the law of the land on 1/16/1920.

PERSONAL

Agent Frans was born in Osborne, MO.  He was survived by his wife.
