ATF Offers Up To $5,000 Reward in Provo Fire Investigation

PROVO, Utah — Special Agent in Charge (SAC) Luke Franey, of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), Denver Field Division; Chief John King, of the Provo Police Department; and Chief Gary Jolley of Provo Fire and Rescue today announced a reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for setting multiple incendiary fires in the Provo area.

Between March 11, 2014, and April 22, 2014, Provo Fire and Rescue and the Provo Police Department responded to several suspicious fires in and around the city of Provo.  It is believed that these fires are being intentionally set by the same individual or individuals.

“ATF is committed to solving this investigation, and we are asking the community to come forward with information that leads to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for these senseless criminal acts,” said Franey.

These incidents are being investigated by the ATF Salt Lake City Field Office, Provo Police Department, and the Provo Fire Department.  Anyone with information about this crime should contact the following agencies:
