ATF National Response Team Activated To Investigate Strip Mall Fire In Rochester

The National Response Team (NRT) of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) along with ATF special agents from the New York Field Division have been activated by a request from the Rochester Fire Department Arson Bureau to investigate a fire at the Family Dollar located at 1731 North Clinton Avenue, Rochester, NY. ATF is offering a $5,000.00 reward for information which leads to the arrest and conviction of the person(s) responsible for the arson.

United States Charges 53 Members Of Bronx Heroin And Crack Cocaine Trafficking Rings

Indictment Charges 25 Gang Members And Associates With RICO Conspiracy, Drug Conspiracy, And Street Gang Enhancement

Twenty four (24) Albany men and one (1) Albany woman were charged in a federal indictment unsealed today, United States Attorney Andrew T. Baxter announced. Twenty-three (23) were charged with conspiracy to commit racketeering activity and all twenty-five (25) were charged with conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute cocaine base (crack cocaine), cocaine and marijuana. Armed Robber Sentenced to Over 50 Years in Prison for Participation in New York City Robbery Spree

DASSIN, the Acting United States Attorney for the Southern District of New York, announced that ZACHARY BALLARD, a/k/a “Zachary Balard,” a/k/a “Little Zachary,” a/k/a “Boobie,” 26, of Brooklyn, was sentenced today to 50 years and one month in prison for robbing multiple New York City businesses at gunpoint. BALLARD was found guilty by a jury in Manhattan federal court on July 23, 2008, of three counts of robbery affecting interstate commerce, three counts of brandishing a firearm during those robberies, and one count of conspiracy to commit robbery affecting interstate commerce, following a one-week jury trial before United States District Judge JED S.
