Second Person Arrested in Coatsville Arson Investigation
Coatesville, Pa. — The Chester County Arson Task Force has announced a second arrest today with respect to the arsons in Coatesville.
Mark Gilliam, 20, of the 1600 block of Suzanne Drive, West Chester, Pa., was arrested today on a federal charge for the Jan. 25, 2009, attempted arson of the Happy Days Family Bistro, 3470 East Lincoln Highway, Thorndale, Pa. Gilliam was arrested at his residence without incident. It is expected that Gilliam will have his initial appearance on Friday in U.S. District Court, Philadelphia.
Earlier today, the task force announced the Feb. 18 arrest of Roger Barlow, 19, of the 200 block of W. Pennsylvania Avenue, Downingtown, Pa., on state charges for nine counts of arson for fires that occurred in the city of Coatesville between Jan. 2 and Feb. 3. Barlow was arrested at the Coatesville Police Department without incident.
