ATF: Incident Today in Memphis, Tenn., Ruled Vapor Explosion
WASHINGTON — The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), and investigative partners with the Memphis police and fire departments and the FBI, have determined that the incident today in Memphis, Tenn., was caused by a vapor explosion. Furthermore, investigators have ruled that no explosive device was used in the incident and no criminal activity is suspected. The victim of the vapor explosion has been released from a local hospital. The law enforcement investigation is closed.
