ATF Offers $10,000 Reward for Theft of Firearms
133 Firearms Stolen From Licensed Dealer
DENVER — Special Agent in Charge (SAC) Marvin G. Richardson, Denver Field Division, Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), today announced a reward of up to $10,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for the burglary of Con-way Freight Company, an Interstate Shipping Company, located at 901 4th Avenue North, Billings, Mont.
On or about Aug. 3, 133 firearms owned by MT Sports, a federal firearms licensee (FFL), were stolen during a burglary of Con-way Freight Company. The firearms taken include 113 handguns and 20 long guns making this one of the largest firearms thefts in Montana’s history.
The theft of any number of firearms poses a serious threat to the community, said Richardson.
These firearms, in the hands of criminals, can cause immeasurable harm to innocent victims.
