ATF Offers $5,000 Reward for Information on Retail Gun Theft
Investigators Seek Publics Help in Solving Crime, Recovering Stolen Guns
GLENNVILLE, Ga. — Special Agent in Charge Scott Sweetow of the Atlanta Field Division, Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) today announced that ATF is offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the persons responsible for the theft of firearms occurring at federal firearms licensee EZ Pawn Shop located at 909 North Veterans Boulevard, Glennville, Ga. on Oct. 30.
Theft of firearms is a serious crime that ultimately feeds and amplifies the violence that is plaguing so many communities in Georgia and around the nation, said Sweetow.
We are asking for the public’s help in our effort to apprehend and convict those responsible for this robbery.
During the early morning hours of Wednesday, Oct. 30, EZ Pawn Shop, was burglarized by unknown persons. Numerous firearms were stolen; which consisted of all handguns. Entry to the building was made through an air conditioning duct on the roof but was not discovered until the next morning. No further information is available.
