ATF Offers $5,000 Reward in Gun Store Burglary
12 Firearms Stolen from Licensed Dealer
BALTIMORE, MD – Special Agent in Charge (SAC) Steven L. Gerido of the Baltimore Field Division, Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), today announced a reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person(s) responsible for the burglary of Glade Valley Sporting Goods, a federally licensed firearms dealer, located at 1728 North Market Street, Frederick, Maryland.
On January 27, 2013, during the early morning hours, individual(s) forcibly broke into and entered Glade Valley Sporting Goods and stole approximately twelve (12) firearms, including pistols and revolvers and one (1) short barreled rifle.
"We take this crime very seriously," said SAC Gerido. "There are 12 firearms on the street, with the strong potential of being sold to or used by other criminals. Firearms trafficking is a serious offense which results in significant federal prison time for the person or persons responsible."
The burglary is being investigated by ATF Baltimore Field Division and Frederick Police Department. Anyone with information about this crime may report it to the following agencies:
