Madison Man Sentenced to Five Years for Distributing Crack Cocaine

Madison, Wis. – John W. Vaudreuil, United States Attorney for the Western District of Wisconsin, announced that Milton L. Moore, 22, Madison, Wis., was sentenced today by U.S. District Judge Barbara B. Crabb to 60 months in federal prison for distribution of crack cocaine. Moore pleaded guilty to this charge on November 28, 2012.

On July 29, 2012, an undercover officer purchased 23 grams of crack cocaine from Moore. On two other occasions in July 2012, the undercover officer purchased heroin from Moore.

At the time of these offenses Moore was on extended supervision in Dane County Circuit Court for robbery. Judge Crabb ordered Moore's 60-month sentence to run consecutive to his three-year sentence for violating the terms of his extended supervision in the above-mentioned robbery case.

Co-defendant Damien Smith is scheduled to plead guilty before Judge Crabb on February 15, 2013. Co-defendant Kordarow Moore pleaded guilty on February 1, 2013, and is scheduled for sentencing before Judge Crabb on April 1, 2013.

The charges against Moore were the result of an investigation conducted by the Dane County Narcotics and Gang Task Force, Madison Police Department, Drug Enforcement Administration, and Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives. The prosecution of the case has been handled by Assistant U.S. Attorney David J. Reinhard.
