ATF Offers Reward In Ferguson Fires

ST. LOUIS — The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) announced today a reward of up to $10,000 for information leading to the arrest of those responsible for starting the fires that destroyed numerous businesses and a church in the wake of  last week’s Grand Jury decision in Ferguson, Mo.

The ATF National Response Team (NRT) and special agents from the Kansas City Field Division are working with members of the St. Louis county and city bomb and arson units, as well as investigators from the Missouri Highway Patrol to investigate the Flood Christian Church arson at 7413 Florissant Ave, Country Club Hills along with the fires that destroyed several businesses in the cities of Ferguson and Dellwood, Mo.

ATF’s partnership with federal, state and local departments is vital to the most effective fire scene investigation.  ATF’s NRT and special agents are working alongside their partners in reconstructing scenes, identifying the origin of the fires, conducting interviews and sifting through debris to obtain evidence related to the fires under investigation.

ATF is seeking the public’s assistance regarding the Flood Church fire, as well as the many other fires in the Ferguson / Dellwood area.  Anyone with pictures, video or information about these fires is urged to text or e-mail relevant pictures or information to Fergusonfires@ATF.gov.  Information can also be shared anonymously at 1-888-ATF-FIRE (1-888-283-3473).
