K-9 Brock is a recent graduate from ATF’s Search Enhanced Evidence K-9 (S.E.E.K.) program where he learned to detect the latest homemade, military and commercial explosive threats. As a S.E.E.K. dog, Brock received extensive obedience training and has the ability to search for explosives both on and off leash. Brock’s off leash search abilities allows the handler to send Brock to specific targets such as vehicles or luggage from a distance. Once at the target, the handler can direct Brock using hand and whistle signals to search for explosives to include firearms and shell casings. Brock’s off leash search abilities provides his handler the option to search for explosives from a distance providing additional safety for his handler. The off leash option also allows Brock to search large areas such as fields and woods at his pace.

Brock lives in Minnesota but is always willing to travel wherever he is needed. The day after Brock graduated he responded to Pennsylvania to assist in the search for evidence to include a rifle used in the ambush of two Pennsylvania State Troopers. When Brock is not working, he enjoys retrieving one of his many ball toys.
