New Haven Man Sentenced to More Than 10 Years for Firearm Offense, Violating Supervised Release

Deirdre M. Daly, Acting United States Attorney for the District of Connecticut, today announced that found TYRON HAMMOND, 31, of New Haven, was sentenced today by U.S. District Judge Janet C. Hall in New Haven to 126 months of imprisonment for illegally possessing a firearm, and for violating the conditions of his supervised releases from a previous federal conviction.

New Haven Man Sentenced to 46 Months in Federal Prison for Distributing Crack Cocaine

Enfield Man Sentenced to 42 Months in Federal Prison for Selling Crack, Violating Supervised Release

Hall in New Haven to 42 months of imprisonment, followed by five years of supervised release, for distributing crack cocaine and for violating the conditions of his supervised release from a previous federal conviction.

Providence Felon Detained on Federal Drug and Firearm Charges

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Darren Monteiro, 26, of Providence, has been ordered detained in federal custody on drug and firearm charges following an investigation into Monteiro’s alleged drug trafficking activities by the Providence Police Department’s Narcotics and Organized Crime Bureau, with the assistance of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), announced United States Attorney Peter F. Neronha, Providence Police Chief Hugh T. Clements, Jr., and Daniel J. Kumor, Special Agent in Charge of ATF’s Boston Field Division.

Orange Man Sentenced to Three Years in Federal Prison for Illegally Possessing Firearms

Hall in New Haven to 36 months of imprisonment, followed by three years of supervised release, for illegally possessing firearms.

Marlborough Resident Charged with Armed Robbery of South Windsor Pharmacy

Deirdre M. Daly, Acting United States Attorney for the District of Connecticut, announced that DAVID HANEY, 52, of Marlborough, was arrested today on a federal criminal complaint charging him with the armed robbery of prescription narcotics from a South Windsor CVS store in September.

HANEY was arrested this morning in Hamden.  He appeared this afternoon before U.S. Magistrate Judge Joan G. Margolis in New Haven and was ordered detained.

Penobscot County Man Sentenced to 10 Years for Illegal Possession of a Firearm

Bangor, Maine:  United States Attorney Thomas E. Delahanty II announced that Matthew Lucas Ayotte, 34, a native of Presque Isle and more recent resident of Penobscot County, was sentenced in U.S. District Court by Chief Judge John A. Woodcock, Jr. to 10 years in prison for being a felon in possession of a firearm. The imprisonment is to be followed by 5 years of supervised release. Ayotte pled guilty to the charge on March 1, 2012.
