Collin County Felon Sentenced for Federal Firearms Violation

TYLER, Texas – A 42-year-old Farmersville, Texas man has been sentenced to federal prison for firearms violations in the Eastern District of Texas, announced U.S. Attorney John M. Bales today.

Craig Marcus Cooper pleaded guilty on Sep. 11, 2013, to being a felon in possession of a firearm and was sentenced to 18 months in federal prison today by U.S. District Judge Michael H. Schneider.

Multiagency Law Enforcement Search Warrant Seized 4.4 Kilograms of Heroin and $127,000

TULSA, OKLAHOMA— On December 17, 2013, six people were arrested after search warrants were served by federal, state, and local law enforcement in a concerted effort to reduce the distribution of heroin in Tulsa County. Five of the six arrested were found to be unlawfully in the United States. The multiagency law enforcement effort seized approximately 4.4 kilograms of heroin, $127,971 in cash, three vehicles, and 27 mobile phones. This amount of heroin has an approximate value of $700,000 on the street.

O’Connor, to 168 months (14 years) in federal prison following his guilty plea in July 2013 to an indictment charging conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute and to distribute methamphetamine, announced U.S. Attorney Sarah R.
