Prohibition Agent Arthur Zimmerman was traveling in his Government vehicle from Chenango Forks to Binghamton, NY, to conduct an investigation regarding illicit liquor violations. When he stopped along the roadway to check his vehicle, he was struck by a passing car and died at the scene.


Agent Zimmerman joined the Bureau of Prohibition on 6/25/1928, and was assigned to offices at Albany and Buffalo, New York.
