Circumstances of Death

Prohibition Agent Major Hart had conducted a special investigation in Rochester, NY.  While returning to Buffalo, NY, to brief his supervisor, he was involved in an automobile accident, where his Government vehicle overturned.  Agent Hart died at the scene.

Background

Agent Hart joined the Prohibition Unit on April 25, 1923.  He served in offices in Washington, Philadelphia and Buffalo.  He was a veteran of the Spanish-American War.

Agent Hart was born in Eaufula, AL.  He was survived by his wife.
