Full Investigation Of Estes Park Fire Begins

A full investigative team from the Department of Justice, Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) has arrive in Estes Park and began a joint fire investigation on Wednesday morning during freezing temperatures and snow. Colorado Springs Man on the Run for 14 Years Caught in Texas and Brought Back to Colorado

Ronald K. Thrasher, age 48, formerly of Colorado Springs, Colorado, appeared in federal court yesterday morning after having been arrested by Deputy U.S. Marshals. Thrasher had been on the run from law enforcement for the past 14 years, the U.S. Attorney’s Office, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), and the U.S. Marshals Service announced. Derrick Johnson Convicted of First Degree Murder for January 2007 Fatal Castle West Apartments Fire

Today, an El Paso County jury convicted Derrick Johnson of all counts related to the January 16, 2007 fatal fire at the Castle West Apartments in Colorado Springs. He faces a minimum of life in prison, without the possibility of parole, when he is sentenced by District Court Judge Jann DuBois on January 30, 2009. More »
