Final Conspirator in Fairfax Gaming Store Armed Robbery Sentenced 120 Months

Steven Anthony Turrentine, 24, of Prince William County, Va., was sentenced to 120 months in prison, followed by five years of supervised release, for his role in an armed robbery of thousands of dollars of Xbox 360s, PlayStation 3s, Nintendo DSs, and other gaming equipment from a Gamestop store in Fairfax, Va. Turrentine was also ordered to pay restitution in the amount of $5,735. More »

Fourteen Charged with Allegedly Paying $8 Million for Contraband Cigarettes

North Carolina Man Sent To Prison And Barred From Tobacco Industry

Terence P. McLaughlin, an Ayden, North Carolina, business owner was sentenced to imprisonment for a term of one year, barred from any involvement in the tobacco industry for ten years, and ordered to forfeit $801,495 to the United States after admitting to conspiring to avoid federal excise tax on cigarettes removed from his factory and being part of a contraband cigarette trafficking scheme. Jury Sentences Contract Killer To Death

Domenech announced today the unsealing of an indictment charging William Wardell Webelir, a.k.a “Cosmo,” age 56, of Port Richey, Florida, with arson related to a October 2003 fire that destroyed Bad Water Bill’s Barbeque Barn, a restaurant in Strasburg, Virginia. Four Indicted in Arson of Weekend Sofa Outlet

D.C. Residents Sentenced in Series of Armed Robberies in Virginia, Maryland

Michael Gray, age 47, and his nephew, Dante Lorenzo Gray, age 22, both residents of Washington, D.C., were sentenced in U.S. District Court on charges arising from their commission of 19 armed robberies of retail businesses in Fairfax County and Alexandria, Va., and Prince George’s County, Md. Dante Gray was sentenced to 144 months on January 23, 2009, and Michael Gray was sentenced to life in prison on January 30, 2009. U.S. District Judge Gerald Bruce Lee sentenced both men. More »
