Arsonist Responsible for Fire at East Colfax Sports Bar
DENVER — The Denver Fire Investigation Task Force is offering up to a $5,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of a suspect responsible for setting fire to an East Colfax Avenue sports bar early Tuesday morning.
Video surveillance shows a man loitering around Shepes Bar and Grill at 7800 East Colfax Ave. in Denver immediately before the fire began at about 5:30 a.m., July 25. No one was injured in the fire. Photos of the suspect are available below.
The Denver Fire Investigation Task Force comprises fire investigators from Denver Fire Department and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives. The team works to determine origin and cause in structure fires and other fires in Denver and the surrounding area when the cause is not immediately apparent.
