ATF and Firearms Industry Offer Reward in Armed Robbery of Cash America Pawn
CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), and the National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF), the trade association for the firearms industry, have announced a reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for the armed robbery of Cash America Pawn, a federal firearm licensee (FFL), in Charlotte, N.C. ATF is offering a reward of up to $5,000 which will be doubled by the NSSF for a total reward of up to $10,000.
On Oct. 26, 2016, at approximately 3:30 p.m., two unidentified male suspects entered Cash America Pawn, located at 4635 North Tryon, Charlotte, N.C. Multiple employees and customers were in the business. One suspect brandished a firearm and the other suspect possessed a crowbar. The suspects took multiple firearms and fled the scene. Charlotte Mecklenburg Police Department (CMPD) and ATF are working together to investigate this violent armed robbery.
