ATF, Firearms Industry Offer Reward in Vandalia Firearms Theft

DAYTON – The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) and the National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF) – the trade association for the firearms industry – have announced a reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for the theft of firearms from Vandalia Range & Armory, a federal firearms licensee located in Vandalia, Ohio.

ATF is offering a reward of up to $5,000, which will be matched by the NSSF for a total possible reward of $10,000.

In the early morning hours of Sunday, Nov. 8, 2015, an individual broke into the Vandalia Range & Armory, located on Corporate Center Drive, in Vandalia, and stole 23 firearms. The incident was recorded on surveillance video. ATF and the Vandalia Police Department are investigating the incident.

Anyone having information about this burglary or recognizing the individual in the attached photos should contact ATF at 1-800-ATF-GUNS (800-283-4867). All calls will be kept confidential.

This reward is part of a larger national cooperative initiative between the NSSF and ATF in which NSSF matches ATF rewards in cases involving the theft of firearms from federally licensed retailers. ATF works closely with the members of the firearms industry to curb the criminal acquisition and misuse of firearms.

More information about ATF and its programs is available at www.atf.gov or visit ATF on Twitter or Facebook.
