ATF, Firearms Industry Offer Reward in Wichita, KS Firearms Theft

WICHITA, Kan. — The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) and the National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF), the trade association for the firearms industry, are offering a reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for the theft of firearms from P-4 Firearms, a federal firearms licensee, located in Wichita.

ATF is offering a reward of up to $5,000, which NSSF will matched for a total possible reward of $10,000.

In the early morning hours of Feb. 11, a person or persons burglarized the business located at 1556 North Broadway Street, stealing several firearms. ATF, working with the Wichita Police Department is investigating the incident.

Anyone with information about this crime should contact ATF at 1-800-ATFGUNS (800-283-4867), email ATFTips@atf.gov, or contact ATF through its website at www.atf.gov/contact/atftips. Submit tips to ATF using the Reportit® app, available on both Google Play and the Apple App Store, or by visiting www.reportit.com. All calls and tips will be kept confidential.

This reward is part of a larger national cooperative initiative between the NSSF and ATF in which the NSSF matches ATF rewards in cases involving the theft of firearms from federally licensed retailers. ATF works closely with the members of the firearms industry to curb the criminal acquisition and misuse of firearms.

ATF is the federal agency with jurisdiction over violations of federal firearms laws. For more information about ATF and its programs go to www.atf.gov.
