ATF, National Shooting Sports Foundation Offer Reward in Multiple Gun Store Burglaries

St. Louis- The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), St. Louis County Police Department and the National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF)- the trade association for the firearms industry- today announced a reward for information in a series of recent gun shop burglaries

ATF is offering a reward of up to $5,000, which will be matched by the NSSF for a total possible reward of $10,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible.

In the early morning hours of Wednesday, November 8th unknown suspects broke into Razorback Armory , 12072 Manchester Road, Des Pres, Missouri, stealing several firearms. Investigators believe that the same suspects broke in to Triple Threat Armory, 9422 Gravois Road, Afton, Missouri early in the morning on Friday, November 10th, but were unable to gain access to any firearms. It appears the suspects then burglarized On Target, 590 Vance Road, Valley Park, Missouri where they stole several additional firearms.

Investigators have identified a vehicle of interest in the three break-ins and are looking for a 2014-2016 “forest mist” Acura MDX. The car may appear grey, silver or green depending on lighting. A picture of the suspect vehicle is attached.

Anyone with information about these thefts should contact ATF at 1-800-ATF-GUNS (800-283-4867), email ATFTips@atf.gov, contact ATF through its’ website at www.atf.gov/contact/atftips, or text 63975 using the code ATFKC. Tipsters can remain anonymous.

This reward is part of a larger national cooperative initiative between the NSSF and ATF in which the NSSF matches ATF rewards in cases involving the theft of firearms from federally licensed retailers. ATF works closely with the members of the firearms industry to curb the criminal acquisition and misuse of firearms.

ATF is the federal agency with jurisdiction over violations of federal firearms laws and is responsible for regulating the firearms industry. For more information about ATF and its’ programs, got to www.atf.gov and follow ATF on Twitter @ATFHQ.
