ATF, NSSF Offer Reward for Shreveport FFL Robbery

Shreveport, La. —The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) New Orleans Field Division is offering a $5,000 reward, along with a $5,000 reward from the National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF), the trade association for the firearms industry, for a total of up to $10,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person(s) responsible for the armed robbery of the Top Dollar Pawn Shop of Shreveport, which is also a federal firearms licensee (FFL).

On Nov. 21, 2018, an armed robbery occurred at the Top Dollar Pawn Shop located at 5741 St. Vincent Ave., Shreveport, LA 71108. Through the investigation, it was learned that multiple armed, masked suspects entered the business through the front door, pointed firearms at the employees, and fled in an unknown direction with numerous stolen firearms.

The ATF Shreveport Field Office and the Shreveport Police Department are jointly investigating this violent crime. This reward is part of a larger national cooperative initiative between the NSSF and ATF in which NSSF matches ATF’s reward in cases involving the theft of firearms from federally licensed firearms retailers. ATF works closely with members of the firearms industry to curb the criminal acquisition and misuse of firearms.
