ATF Offering $25,000 Reward for Information on Denver Pawn Shop Robberies
DENVER, Colo. — The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) is offering $25,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of suspects believed to be involved in multiple pawn shop robberies in the Denver Metro Area.
The suspects are believed to have stolen 27 firearms, including handguns and rifles, from the pawn shops over the past several months.
“These criminals are prepared, methodical and ready for a fight, making this situation like a primed powder keg,” said Denver Field Division Special Agent in Charge Ken Croke. “We are appealing to the public for help so we can end their dangerous spree before they hurt someone.”
In 2015, 133 firearms were reported stolen from licensed gun retailers, including pawn shops, in Colorado compared to 56 in 2014.
