ATF offers $5,000 reward for info on violent gun store burglary
DENVER — The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives and Brighton Police Department are offering up to a $5,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of suspects who burglarized South Platte Tactical and assaulted a man, Nov. 5.
At about 5:30 a.m., three suspects stole a handful of firearms from the store at 29 South 4th Ave in Brighton. When a man confronted them, one of the suspects assaulted him.
We appeal to anyone who knows the identity of these suspects or the whereabouts of the firearms to contact us before more innocent people are hurt.
ATF and Brighton Police Department are jointly investigating the burglary. This is the second time South Platte Tactical has been burglarized this year; the first was Jan. 8. The thefts are not connected.
