ATF Offers $5,000 Reward in Kratovil’s True Value Hardware Store Burglary

MARTIN, S.D. — Investigators with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), South Dakota Division of Criminal Investigation (DCI), and the Martin Police Department are seeking information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person(s) responsible for the July 1, 2016, burglary of Kratovil’s True Value Hardware Store at 302 Main Street, Martin, S.D. ATF is offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to the recovery of the stolen firearms or the arrest and conviction of those responsible.

On July 1, 2016, at approximately 2 a.m., Martin Police Department officers were dispatched to the hardware store for the report of a broken front glass door and possible burglary. Investigators determined that nine firearms had been stolen from a display case within the store.

Investigators are seeking the public’s help in solving this crime and are hopeful that the reward will provide additional leads in this investigation.
