ATF Offers Reward Up To $5,000 in Homicide/Robbery Investigations

Seeking Public’s Help in Robberies at Three Business

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), is announcing a reward up to $5,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person(s) responsible for a homicide that occurred in a JC Penney parking lot, an armed robbery of a Scotchman Convenience Store, and J and J Gas & Grocery in Myrtle Beach, S.C.

On Jan. 8, 2016, approximately 12:15 p.m., 78 year old Francis Davis was shot in the head while sitting in her car in the JC Penney parking lot located at 10177 N. Kings Hwy, Myrtle Beach. Davis subsequently died from her injury. No suspect(s) have been identified to date.

Later that day at approximately 3:15 p.m., an unidentified armed male suspect robbed the Scotchman Convenient Store located at 499 Lake Arrowhead Road, in Myrtle Beach. The suspect fled the scene and has not been identified to date.

On Jan. 10, 2016, approximately 7:40 p.m., an unidentified armed male suspect robbed the (Sunhouse) J and J Gas & Grocery Store located at 2008 Highway 9, Loris, S.C. The suspect fled the scene and has not been identified to date.

These violent crimes are being investigated by ATF and the Horry County Police Department (HCPD).
