ATF Offers Reward Up to $5,000 in the Monroe Creek Missionary Baptist Church Arson

WASHINGTON PARISH, La. — The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), is seeking information leading to the arrest and conviction of the individual(s) responsible for the Feb. 1, 2018, arson that occurred at the Monroe Creek Missionary Baptist Church located on Monroe Creek Road north of Highway 436 in Washington Parish. The fire resulted in a total loss of the property.

Additionally, on Jan. 25 and Feb. 1, a series of wildfires were set in close proximity to the Monroe Creek Missionary Baptist Church. ATF, along with the Louisiana Department of Agriculture and Forestry, and the Louisiana State Fire Marshal’s Office, are actively investigating these fires.

Investigators are seeking the public’s help in solving these crimes and are hopeful that this reward will provide additional leads in the investigation. Anyone having information about these fires should call ATF at:
