ATF Offers Reward Up To $5,000 in Shooting Incidents

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), is announcing a reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person(s) responsible for multiple shooting incidents in Beaufort, S.C.

On Tuesday, May 15, 2018, at approximately 12:15 a.m., Beaufort Police Department (BPD) Officers responded to a report of shots fired in the 1000 block of Monson Street.  Officers located a vehicle parked in front of a residence that was shot several times.   Witnesses described seeing a gray or silver colored Chevy sedan leaving the scene at a high rate of speed. 

On Tuesday, May 15, 2018, at approximately 9:15 p.m., a dark colored Ford SUV drove past a residence on Hamar Street.  The passenger of the SUV fired multiple shots from an assault rifle on two subjects sitting inside of a parked vehicle in the residence’s driveway before speeding off.  One of the subjects inside of the vehicle sustained a non-life threating gunshot wound to the leg. 

These violent crimes are being investigated by ATF and the BPD.
