ATF Offers Reward in Church Arson, Charlotte, N.C.
CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) has announced a reward up to $2,500 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person(s) responsible for a Charlotte, N.C., church arson.
On June 24, 2015, a fire damaged the recreational building on the Briar Creek Baptist Church campus located at 1451 Briar Creek Road in Charlotte. The fire caused approximately $250,000 in structural and smoke damage to the recreational building. An investigation disclosed the fire was incendiary and it was determined to be arson.
This crime is being investigated by ATF, Charlotte Mecklenburg Police Department and the Charlotte Fire Department.
