ATF Offers Reward in Multiple Armed Robbery Investigation

Seeking Public’s Help in Robbery Investigation

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), has announced a reward up to $5,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person(s) responsible for the three-armed robberies in the Chapel Hill, N.C., and Durham, N.C., area.

 

On December 23, 2017, at approximately 3:57 a.m., four unidentified male suspects entered the Circle K convenience store, located at 11399 Highway 15-501 North, Chapel Hill, North Carolina, and conducted an armed robbery.  A short time later, at approximately 4:48 a.m., two unidentified male suspects entered the Circle K convenience store, located at 201 South Estes Drive, Chapel Hill, North Carolina, and conducted a second armed robbery.  At approximately 5:38 a.m., three unidentified male subjects entered the Circle K convenience store, located at 3406 East U. S. Highway 70, Durham, North Carolina, and conducted a third armed robbery.  All three robberies have been connected to the same suspects.
