Law Enforcement Offers Reward in Officer Shooting, Moncks Corner, S.C.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Law enforcement agencies today announces a reward up to $11,000.00 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person responsible for shooting Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office Lt. Will Rogers.

The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), has announced a reward up to $5,000 which will be matched by the Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office. Additionally, the Crime Stoppers of the Low Country will contribute $1,000 for a total of $11,000.

On May 15, 2015 at approximately 10:20 pm an unidentified masked suspect shot Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office Lt. Will Rogers at the Exxon Mobile Station located at 2800 U.S. Hwy 52, Moncks Corner, S.C. Afterwards, the suspect carjacked a SUV and fled the scene. The suspect has not been identified to date.

This violent crime is being investigated by the ATF, South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED), Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office and the Moncks Corner Police Department.
