ATF Requests Information on TV Station Fire

PORT ARTHUR, Texas — The Beaumont Field Office of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) is requesting the public’s assistance in developing leads and determining the identity of two witnesses seen near the KBTV Channel 4 building fire on Feb. 2 in Port Arthur. The fire, located at 2900 17th Street, was reported at 2:22 p.m., and is still under investigation; however it has been determined to be an incendiary fire.

Attached are sketches of two individuals seen near the building before the fire. They may have information that is useful to the investigation. If anyone recognizes these individuals or has information about the fire, please call the ATF Beaumont office at (409) 981-6670 or the Port Arthur Fire Department at (409) 983-8737. ATF continues to work in partnership with the Port Arthur Fire Department.
