Heather Stahlhoefer, age 24, was sentenced to 48 months of imprisonment, three years of supervised release, a $100 victim assessment, and $9,391.87 in restitution.

Stahlhoefer was indicted by a federal grand jury on August 17, 2010. In June 2010 at Rapid City, Stahlhoefer, a previously convicted felon, was found to be in possession of a Smith & Wesson .38 caliber revolver and ammunition. She pled guilty on June 3, 2011.

This case was investigated by the U.S. Secret Service and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms & Explosives. Assistant U.S. Attorney Eric Kelderman prosecuted the case.
