ATF Offers Rewards for Information on Two Gun Store Burglaries
LINCOLN, Neb. – The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) Kansas City Field Division and the Lincoln Police Department announced today ATF is offering individual rewards of $2,500 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for two separate gun store burglaries in Lincoln. The first theft occurred at approximately 1:40 a.m. on Nov. 4, at Capitol City Pawn, 2541 North Eleventh St., Lincoln, Neb. Seven firearms, all of which were handguns, were stolen during the burglary. This business is a federally licensed firearms dealer. The second theft occurred at approximately 12:15 a.m. on Nov. 25 at Acher Arms, 1334 South 33rd St., Lincoln, Neb. Ten firearms, all of which were handguns, were stolen during the burglary. This business is also a federally licensed firearms dealer.
It is unknown at this time if the burglaries are related. The ongoing investigation is being conducted by ATF and the Lincoln Police Department. Anyone with information about the incidents is urged to call ATF at 1-800-ATF-GUNS or the Lincoln Police Department at 402-441-6000.
