CIRCUMSTANCES OF DEATH

Supervisory Special Agent Norman Curtsinger suffered a heart attack while on duty at the field office in Charleston, WV. He was rushed to the Charleston General Hospital, but died shortly thereafter.

BACKGROUND

Agent Curtsinger joined the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax Division (ATTD) on 7/18/1955.  He was assigned to offices at Lexington, Somerset and Pineville, Kentucky; prior to his transfer and promotion to Charleston, WV. He was a pround veteran of the U. S. Army, having served during WW-II and the Korean War, where he worked in the Army's Criminal Investigation Division.

PERSONAL

Agent Curtsinger was survived by his wife, Emma Lou and their four children:  Kent, Michael, Lou Ann and Carla.
