The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) recently examined devices commonly marketed as “solvent traps” and has determined that some of them are “firearmsilencers” as defined in the Gun Control Act (GCA) and as defined in the National Firearms Act (NFA).
