CHICAGO – The Chicago Police Department, in partnership with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms (ATF) and the U.S. Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA), recently conducted a Narcotics Unified Enforcement Mission in the 11th and 15th Districts to strike at the heart of gang operations. Specific areas were targeted in the districts based upon historical crime incidents, known locations of narcotics sales, vice complaints, and known areas of street gang activity. Arrests as a result of the narcotics and vice missions totaled 74, with 32 of the offenders being documented gang members.
