ATF and Firearms Industry Offer Reward in Las Vegas Firearms Theft

LAS VEGAS – The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) and the National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF) -- the trade association for the firearms industry -- have announced a reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for the theft of firearms from the 2nd Amendment Gun Shop Federal Firearm Licensee (FFL).

ATF is offering a reward in the amount of $5,000, which will be matched by the NSSF for a total reward of $10,000.

This reward is part of a larger national cooperative initiative between the NSSF and ATF in which NSSF matches ATF reward in cases involving the theft of firearms from federally licensed firearms retailers.  ATF works closely with members of the firearms industry to curb the criminal acquisition and misuse of firearms.

The suspect(s) burglarized the store at approximately 3:36 a.m., Sept 8.  The suspect(s) entered the premise, (located at 4570 North Rancho Drive, Las Vegas) stole several firearms from the store and fled the scene at around 3:52 a.m.  ATF and the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department are jointly investigating the burglary.

Anyone with any information about this crime should contact ATF at (800) ATF-GUNS (1-800-283-4867) or Crime Stoppers at (702) 385-5555, or by visiting www.reportit.com or through the mobile “reportit” app, available both on Google Play and the Apple App Store. All calls will be kept confidential.
