The Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995 requires agencies to publish proposed information collections in the Federal Register for public comment before an agency can use the process (generally a form) to collect information from the public. The proposed information collection was previously published in the Federal Register on October 24, 2019.  As required by the Paperwork Reduction Act, this notice provides 30 days for public comment on a new collection of currently approved collection. The proposed new information collection pertains to any individual registering as a Confidential Informant (CI) for ATF.  The CI must provide their Personally Identifiable Information (PII) on the informant agreement regarding felonious criminal activities.
