K-9 Dutch is an ATF Explosives Detection Canine assigned to the Dallas Field Division with Special Agent Canine Handler Daniel Kaase. K-9 Dutch’s job is to find explosives, guns and ammunition. He is also an ATF Search Enhanced Evidence K-9 (S.E.E.K.) able to work off leash up to 150 yards away from his handler and detect more than 19,000 distinct odors.

K-9 Dutch is always ready to work, day or night, and has shown an exceptional ability to find explosive- and firearm-related items when called upon. He loves to eat and is extremely food motivated. He started his training with the Puppies Behind Bars organization.

K-9 Dutch’s operational area covers northern Texas, northern New Mexico, and the entire state of Oklahoma. Since his deployment to the field, he has found numerous firearms and shell casings to support local law enforcement investigations. He excels in open area searches for firearms, shell casings and projectiles.
