ATF Offers Reward in Gun Store Burglary

CASCADE TWP., Mich. — The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), in conjunction with the Kent County Sheriff’s Department and the National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF), the trade association for the firearms industry, announce a reward of up to $5,000 for information related to a burglary at Barracks 616 gun shop in Cascade Township, Michigan.

Four masked suspects broke into the Barracks 616 store located at 5740 Foremost Drive SE around 2:47 a.m. July 10th, and stole approximately 23 handguns. The suspects were seen in a white SUV passenger vehicle.

ATF is offering a reward of up to $2,500, which will be matched by the NSSF for a total reward of up to $5,000. The reward is part of a larger national cooperative initiative between the NSSF and ATF in which NSSF matches ATF’s reward in cases involving the theft of firearms from federally licensed firearms retailers. ATF works closely with members of the firearm industry to curb the criminal acquisition and misuse of firearms.

Anyone with information about this crime can contact ATF at 1-800-ATF-GUNS or the Kent County Sheriff’s Office at (616) 632-6125. Information can also be sent to ATFTips@atf.gov.
