ATF and Partners Offer a $7,500 Reward After Firearms Stolen From Grand Prairie Federal Firearms Licensee

DALLAS — The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) Dallas Field Division is offering a $2,500 reward, combined with $2,500 offered by the National Sports Shooting Foundation (NSSF) and another $2,500 offered by Crime Stoppers, for a total reward of up to $7,500 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person responsible for the theft of five firearms from Federal Firearms licensee (FFL) Cash America Pawn in Grand Prairie, Texas.

On Monday, February 24, 2020, at approximately 5:45 p.m., a male subject entered the Cash America Pawn located in the 2600 block of West Interstate 20.  While store employees engaged with other customers, the subject removed five firearms from a display counter and left the store.

The suspect is described as white, possibly Hispanic, male, approximately 5’10” to 6’ tall, medium to husky build, last seen wearing dark-colored pants, a blue hooded sweatshirt over a black shirt, gray ski-style hat and dark-colored work boots.

This reward is part of a larger national cooperative initiative between the NSSF, the trade association for the firearms industry, and ATF in which NSSF matches ATF’s reward in cases involving the theft of firearms from federally licensed firearms retailers.

Anyone in the store at the time of the theft or with information about this crime should contact the ATF Dallas Field Division at (469) 227-4300, 1-888-ATF-TIPS (888-283-8477) or Grand Prairie Police Department Detective Phillip Garcia (214) 455-3099.  Information can also be sent to ATFTips@atf.gov, through ATF’s website at www.atf.gov/contact/atftips.  Tips can be submitted anonymously using the Reportit® app or by visiting www.reportit.com.
