ATF, NSSF Offer Reward for Prairie Grove FFL Burglary

Prairie Grove, Ark. —The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) New Orleans Field Division is offering a $5,000 reward, along with a $5,000 reward from the National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF), the trade association for the firearms industry, for a total of up to $10,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the persons responsible for the burglary of Prairie Grove Hardware, a federal firearms licensee (FFL).

On Feb. 15, 2019, at approximately 3:08 am, Prairie Grove Hardware located at 106 W. Buchanan Street, Prairie Grove AR 72753 was burglarized. Three unknown subjects broke into the business and stole multiple firearms. At approximately 4:40 am, the three subjects along with a fourth subject re-entered the business and stole additional firearms.

The ATF Fort Smith Satellite Office, the Washington County Sheriff’s office, and the Prairie Grove Police Department are jointly investigating these crimes. This reward is part of a larger national cooperative initiative between the NSSF and ATF in which NSSF matches ATF’s reward in cases involving the theft of firearms from federally licensed firearms retailers. ATF works closely with members of the firearms industry to curb the criminal acquisition and misuse of firearms.
