ATF, Fairfax County Crime Solvers and National Shooting Sports Foundation Offer $11K Reward in Springfield Federal Firearms Licensee Burglary

SPRINGFIELD, Va. — The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives is offering up to $5,000 in conjunction with National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF) who is offering up to $5,000 reward and Crime Solvers with up to a $1,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction for those responsible for the burglary of Dominion Defense a Federal Firearms Licensee (FFL) located at 7200 Fullerton Road, Unit B, Springfield, VA.

On April 29, four masked men were seen on security footage forcing entry into the building. Three of the four men entered and stole 54 firearms, which were a combination of long guns and handguns. The fourth subject remained outside as a lookout. The suspects left in a gray Acura four-door sedan with no front license plate.

“ATF will continue to collaborate with our partners by offering our investigative and analytical resources to ensure that the stolen firearms are recovered as quickly as possible,” ATF Washington Field Division acting Special Agent in Charge Michael Weddel said. “More often than not, stolen firearms are used in a crime of violence that often leads to someone being injured or killed. Therefore, we call upon the community to provide any additional information that will assist us in locating and holding all involved accountable for this criminal act.”
