K9 Thanos was born in Holland and acquired by ATF in 2021 when he was 3 years old. After months of intensive training with his handler, Thanos was certified as a Special Response Team (SRT) Tactical K9 and assigned to SRT 4, based in Los Angeles, CA. Thanos is certified in obedience, building and area searches, tracking, tactical movement and aggression control. Thanos’ job is to protect the public by helping ATF Special Agents and other law enforcement officers find and apprehend violent criminals. Thanos assists the ATF SRT during high-risk operations throughout the United States and its territories.
