K-9 Lady is an ATF Explosives Detection Canine assigned to the Houston Field Division with Special Agent Canine Handler (SACH) Jim Osburg. Her job is to find explosives, firearms, spent casings and ammunition. K-9 Lady started her training with the Puppies Behind Bars organization.

For K-9 Lady, explosive detection work runs in the family. ATF recruited Lady, her brothers Darwin and Hank, and sisters Piper and Shiloh at the same time. The siblings also graduated together on August 9, 2019.

Recent Find  

Recently, the Houston Police Department (HPD) requested assistance from SACH Osburg and K-9 Lady to search for a shell casing used in a homicide along a canal bank.  K-9 Lady alerted detectives to a 9mm firearm which provided crucial evidence in solving the HPD investigation.
