Purpose
The Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995 requires agencies to publish proposed information collections in the Federal Register for public comment before an agency can use the process (generally a form) to collect information from the public. As required by the Paperwork Reduction Act, this notice provides 30 days for public comment on a new information of collection. The proposed information collection pertains to The Licensing Questionnaire—ATF Form 8620.44 will be used to determine if a candidate for Federal or contractor employment at the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), or his/her spouse, or minor child, holds a financial interest in the alcohol, tobacco, firearms, or explosives industries.
