The Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995 requires agencies to publish proposed information collections in the Federal Register for public comment before an agency can use the process (generally a form) to collect information from the public. As required by the Paperwork Reduction Act, this notice provides an additional 30 days for public comment on the extension without change of an existing collection. The proposed information collection pertains to the Application for Tax-Exempt Transfer of Firearms and Registration to Special Occupational Taxpayer-ATF Form 3 (5320.2), for use by Federal firearms licensees, to apply for the transfer and registration of a National Firearms Act firearms that is subject to exemption from the transfer tax, as provided by 26 U.S.C. 5852(d).
