Extension Without Change of a Currently Approved Information Collection
Purpose
The Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995 requires agencies to publish proposed information collections in the Federal Register for public comment before an agency can use the process (generally a form) to collect information from the public. As required by the Paperwork Reduction Act, this notice provides 60 days for public comment on the extension without change] of a currently approved collection. The proposed information collection pertains to the ATF Form 8 (5310.11) Part II, that is used by members of the public to renew a Federal firearms license (FFL). The collected information is used to identify the FFL business premises and/or firearm collection activity, and determine the applicant’s eligibility for a FLL renewal.
